Let your agents list Jotform forms and their questions, read submissions, create forms and submit or edit answers.

Connection

Authentication: API key.
Required settings:
- Region — Use “api” (default), “eu-api” for an EU account, or “hipaa-api” for a HIPAA-enabled account.

Sign in at jotform.com → Settings → API → Create New Key. Choose “Full Access” (required to create forms and submissions) or “Read Only” if the agent only reads data; the key stays visible in the list, so you can copy it later. In the Region field, enter “api” for a standard account, “eu-api” for an EU account or “hipaa-api” for a HIPAA-enabled account.See Jotform’s documentation.

Action	Description
`get_form`	Retrieve a single form: title, status, creation date, submission counts and public URL.
`get_form_properties`	Retrieve the properties of a form (title, redirect behaviour, widths, theme and other settings).
`get_submission`	Retrieve a single submission and all of its answers.
`get_usage`	Retrieve the monthly usage counters of the account (submissions, API calls, uploads, form views).
`get_user`	Retrieve the account that owns the API key (name, email, account type, region). Use as a connectivity probe.
`list_form_questions`	List the questions of a form, keyed by question ID (qid) — the IDs create_submission and update_submission expect.
`list_form_submissions`	List the submissions received by one form, with their answers.
`list_forms`	List the forms of the account, with their title, status and submission counts. Returns the form IDs the other actions need.
`list_reports`	List the reports created on the account forms (Excel, CSV, grid, visual).
`list_submissions`	List the latest submissions across every form of the account.

`clone_form`	Clone a form. Argument: form_id (the source form identifier, as a string). Returns the new form ID.
`create_form`	Create a form. Arguments: title (string, becomes properties[title]); questions (array of objects, at least one, each with type = Jotform field type as a string such as “control_textbox” or “control_email”, text = the label as a string, name = the slug as a string, order = a bare integer starting at 1); properties (optional flat object of string values, e.g. {“activeRedirect”:“thanktext”}). Sent form-encoded as questions[1][type], properties[title], …
`create_submission`	Submit an entry to a form. Arguments: form_id (identifier passed as a string); submission (object keyed by question ID — get them from list_form_questions — whose value is a string for a simple question, or an object of strings for a composite one, e.g. {“3”:“john@example.com”,“4”:{“first”:“John”,“last”:“Smith”}}). Sent form-encoded as submission[3], submission[4][first], …
`set_form_properties`	Add or edit properties of a form. Arguments: form_id (identifier passed as a string); properties (flat object of string values, e.g. {“title”:“Contact”,“activeRedirect”:“thankurl”,“thankurl”:“https://example.com/thanks”}). Sent form-encoded as properties[<key>]. Only the keys you send are changed.
`update_submission`	Edit an existing submission. Arguments: submission_id (identifier passed as a string); submission (object keyed by question ID whose value is a string or an object of strings, plus the two flags “new” (“1” = unread) and “flag” (“1” = flagged), e.g. {“4”:{“first”:“Jane”},“flag”:“1”}). Sent form-encoded as submission[<key>]. Only the keys you send are changed.
