Which sign-in method an address uses (password or e-mail code)
No session. Answers {method:'password'} only for the few addresses on the server-side allow-list (the Apple review account), {method:'otp'} for every other address. The answer never depends on whether an account exists (neither auth.users nor users is read), so it cannot be used to enumerate accounts. POST so the address never appears in a URL. Strict per-IP rate limit (standard RateLimit-* headers).
