# Google Search Console

> Connect Google Search Console to your Atako agents — 6 read and 0 write actions.

Let your agents read your Google Search Console data — search queries, pages, clicks, impressions, CTR and positions, sitemaps and the index status of a URL.

## Connection

* **Authentication**: API key (Service account JSON key).

<Note>
  Google Cloud console → pick (or create) a project → APIs & Services → enable "Google Search Console API" → IAM & Admin → Service accounts → Create service account (no role needed) → Keys → Add key → JSON. Then in Search Console → Settings → Users and permissions → Add user: the service account email (…@….iam.gserviceaccount.com) with "Restricted" permission, on each property your agent should read. Paste the whole content of the downloaded JSON file.

  See [Google Search Console's documentation](https://developers.google.com/webmaster-tools/v1/how-tos/authorizing).
</Note>

## Read actions (6)

| Action | Description |
| - | - |
| `get_site` | Get one property and the service account's permission level on it. |
| `get_sitemap` | Get one submitted sitemap: status, last download, errors, warnings and contents counts. |
| `inspect_url` | Get the index status of one URL as Google sees it: coverage verdict, last crawl, canonical chosen by Google, robots/indexing state, mobile usability and rich results (quota: 2000/day per property). |
| `list_sitemaps` | List the sitemaps submitted for a property (or those inside one sitemap index), with last download, errors, warnings and submitted/indexed counts. |
| `list_sites` | List the Search Console properties the service account can read, with its permission level — use it to find the siteUrl every other action takes. |
| `query_search_analytics` | Search performance (clicks, impressions, ctr, position) between two dates, grouped by up to several dimensions (query, page, country, device, date…), optionally filtered — rows sorted by clicks. Data is available \~2-3 days back and for 16 months. |

## Write actions (0)

## Permissions

Every action above must be explicitly granted to an agent before it can be used. See [Permissions](/integrations/permissions) for the grant model and [Security](/integrations/security) for how credentials are protected.
