# Fillout

> Connect Fillout to your Atako agents — 4 read and 1 write actions.

Let your agents work with your Fillout forms: list forms, read their questions, read submissions (filtered by date, status or text) and add submissions.

## Connection

* **Authentication**: API key (Fillout API key).
* **Required settings**:
  * **Fillout API host** — api.fillout.com (US), eu-api.fillout.com (EU hosting) or api.zite.com.

> [!NOTE]
>
> In Fillout (app.zite.com): Home → Settings → Developer → "API key" tab, pick "Forms API" in the API selector, click "Enable API", then copy the key. A key only works in its own region: set the API host to api.fillout.com (US) or eu-api.fillout.com (EU hosting).
>
> See [Fillout's documentation](https://www.fillout.com/help/fillout-rest-api).

## Read actions (4)

| Action | Description |
| - | - |
| `get_form` | Get a form: its questions \[\{id, name, type, options for choices}], calculations and URL parameters. Call it before create\_submissions to learn the exact question ids. formId: string, required, from list\_forms. |
| `get_submission` | Get one submission: \{submission: \{submissionId, submissionTime, questions, …}}. Arguments: formId (string, required, from list\_forms); submissionId (string, required, from list\_submissions); includeEditLink (boolean, optional, adds editLink). |
| `list_forms` | List the forms of the account: \[\{name, formId, …}]. The formId (string) is needed by every other action. Also used as the credential probe. No arguments. |
| `list_submissions` | List the submissions of a form: \{responses: \[\{submissionId, submissionTime, questions: \[\{id, name, type, value}]}], totalResponses, pageCount}. Only finished submissions unless status is "in\_progress". Arguments: formId (string, required, from list\_forms); limit (integer 1 to 150, default 50); offset (integer, default 0); afterDate and beforeDate (ISO 8601 date-time strings, e.g. "2026-10-01T00:00:00Z"); status ("finished" or "in\_progress"); sort ("asc" or "desc", default "asc" = oldest first); search (string, keeps the submissions containing this text); includeEditLink (boolean, adds editLink); includePreview (boolean, includes preview responses). |

## Write actions (1)

| Action | Description |
| - | - |
| `create_submissions` | Add submissions to a form (they appear in its Results tab; no notification, workflow or integration is triggered). Arguments: formId (string, required, from list\_forms); submissions (array of 1 to 10 objects, required). Each object: questions (array, required, of \{id: string, value}: id = a question id from get\_form, value = what the question expects, e.g. a string for text, a number for numbers, an ISO date string for dates, the option value string for a single choice, an array of strings for several choices); optional urlParameters (array of \{id: string, name: string, value: string}); optional submissionTime and lastUpdatedAt (ISO 8601 date-time strings). |

## Permissions

Every action above must be explicitly granted to an agent before it can be used. See [Permissions](https://docs.atako.ai/integrations/permissions.md) for the grant model and [Security](https://docs.atako.ai/integrations/security.md) for how credentials are protected.
