# Baserow

> Connect Baserow to your Atako agents — 4 read and 3 write actions.

Let your agents work with your Baserow databases: list tables and fields, search, filter and read rows, create rows (one or in bulk) and update rows.

## Connection

* **Authentication**: API key (Baserow database token).
* **Required settings**:
  * **Baserow API domain** — api.baserow\.io for Baserow Cloud; your own domain for a self-hosted instance (no https\:// nor path).

> [!NOTE]
>
> In Baserow: click your workspace name (top left) → My settings → Database tokens → Create token. Name it, pick the workspace, then tick the rights (create, read, update; delete is never used) for the databases or tables the agents need, and copy the token. A token only gives access to ONE workspace. Set the API domain to api.baserow\.io for Baserow Cloud, or to your own domain if you self-host.
>
> See [Baserow's documentation](https://baserow.io/api-docs).

## Read actions (4)

| Action | Description |
| - | - |
| `get_row` | Get one row, keyed by field name. table\_id: integer, from list\_tables; row\_id: integer, the id of a row from list\_rows. |
| `list_fields` | List the fields (columns) of a table: \[\{id, name, type, primary, read\_only, select\_options for selects, …}]. Call it before writing to learn exact field names, types and select option ids. table\_id: integer, required, from list\_tables. |
| `list_rows` | List the rows of a table, keyed by field name; answer \{count, next, previous, results:\[\{id, order, \<field name>: value}]}. table\_id: integer, required. Optional: search (string, full-text over all fields); filters (object \{filter\_type: "AND"\|"OR", filters: \[\{field: field NAME string, type: string, value: string}]}, e.g. \{"filter\_type":"AND","filters":\[\{"field":"Status","type":"contains","value":"open"},\{"field":"Amount","type":"higher\_than","value":"100"}]}; types include equal, not\_equal, contains, contains\_not, starts\_with, higher\_than, lower\_than, boolean, empty, not\_empty, date\_is, single\_select\_equal (value = option id), link\_row\_has (value = row id)); order\_by (string, field names comma-separated, "-" prefix = descending, e.g. "-Amount,Name"); include / exclude (strings, field names comma-separated, to return only / skip fields); view\_id (integer, applies that view's filters and sorts); page (integer from 1); size (integer 1-200, rows per page). |
| `list_tables` | List the tables the token can access: \[\{id, name, order, database\_id}]. The table id (integer) is needed by every other action. Also used as the credential probe. No arguments. |

## Write actions (3)

| Action | Description |
| - | - |
| `create_row` | Create one row; returns it with its id. Arguments: table\_id (integer, required, from list\_tables); fields (object, required: \{ "\<exact field name>": value }, only the fields to fill, others stay empty). Field values by type: text / long text / URL / email / phone = string; number = number or numeric string ("12.50"); boolean = true/false; date = ISO string ("2026-10-23" or "2026-10-23T14:30:00Z"); single select = the option id (integer, from select\_options of list\_fields) or null; multiple select = array of option ids; link to another table = array of row ids (integers) of the linked table; rating = integer. Read-only fields (formula, created on, autonumber, lookup, count) cannot be written. Call list\_fields first. |
| `create_rows` | Create several rows at once (1 to 200); returns \{items:\[rows with ids]}. Arguments: table\_id (integer, required, from list\_tables); items (array of objects, required, each \{ "\<exact field name>": value }). |
| `update_row` | Update one row: only the fields given are changed, the others keep their value. Arguments: table\_id (integer, required); row\_id (integer, required, from list\_rows); fields (object, required: \{ "\<exact field name>": new value }). |

## Permissions

Every action above must be explicitly granted to an agent before it can be used. See [Permissions](https://docs.atako.ai/integrations/permissions.md) for the grant model and [Security](https://docs.atako.ai/integrations/security.md) for how credentials are protected.
